Q. My tenants lease is about to expire is there anything I need to do?

A. One should consider serving notice on the tenant to protect its position, do you want the property back or to renew the lease, has the rent increased or reduced does one require certainty or are you content to allow the tenant to hold over on its existing lease.  One must also consider dilapidations on the property and whether there are any time sensitive reinstatement clauses or costs recovery provisions.
