JACOB COPEBSC (HONS) MRICS
Founder and Managing Director
Jacob is a Chartered Surveyor and Registered Valuer with 18 years of experience in the property market.
His speciality is high level negotiations, with some notable dilapidations settlements and lease restructuring deals completed over the past few years.
Jacob built JMC on a ‘thinking-out-the-box’ attitude, always on the lookout for new opportunities and developments.
Jacob gets to know each of his clients; putting their specific requirements first. Most importantly, he makes sure to always fully understand and appreciate the client’s objective and will do whatever it takes to fulfil their requirements.
Jacob is a family man and makes time for his wife & 4 kids. On a Sunday afternoon, he can be seen riding his bike running or playing cricket. He enjoys F1 and pretty much anything to do with mechanics and engineering.

BEN BERLINBSC (HONS) MRICS
Director
Ben is a qualified Chartered Surveyor and is a director at JMC. He graduated from Salford University with a First Class Honours Degree in Property Management and Investment.
Ben heads the commercial department with an eagle eye, specialising in landlord and tenant negotiations, including rent reviews and lease renewals.
Ben’s fine attention to detail means he’s aware of the smallest aspect of every project or case. His meticulous nature, coupled with his commercial savviness makes him a very adept high-level negotiator. Seeing a deal through from start to finish is paramount to him.
Originally from North London, Ben has stuck to his roots and is still a Spurs fan. He’s not having much luck with his kids though; they support the ‘Red’ half of Manchester.

DANIEL PROCTERBSC (HONS)
Building Surveyor
Daniel began his career after graduating from Leeds Beckett University working as a graduate building surveyor in the centre of Manchester, mostly working on projects in the Education sector.
Daniel’s calm and focused nature ensures all projects he takes on are completed to the highest specifications. He’s also very keen to keep all parties well informed and communicates with them throughout the project.
He is a keen sportsman and can often be found on the rugby pitch or in the clubhouse.

Richard ListerBSC (HONS)
Building Surveyor
Richard has recently joined JMC Surveyors with 10 years of experience working in the residential property industry.
Back in April 2021 he completed his degree in Building Surveying at The University Of Salford and achieved a First Class Honours.
On his day to day schedule, Richard is responsible much of the building surveying instructions, primarily with Party Wall.
In his spare time Richard enjoys spending time in the gym or going on long walk whilst listening to his favorite music.

SHAYA NEWMANMSC BSC (HONS)
Quantity Surveyor
Shaya joined JMC in September 2020 with over ten years experience within the construction and property industry.
He has a degree in Chemistry from UCL and a Masters in Real Estate Development from University of Westminster. He has worked on construction projects across the UK, covering London, Birmingham, Liverpool and Manchester. These instructions covered a range of sectors including substantial Residential as well as Office, Retail and Industrial. He brings a wealth of experience, knowledge and expertise to the company specifically in relation to early cost advice, feasibility studies, specification of works, cost management, contract administration and employers agent. He is enthusiastic, has great attention to detail, personable and approachable. These all help deliver quality projects for his clients time and time again.
Outside of work, Shaya enjoys playing football with his son, and spending time with his wife and children.

Craig SmithBSC (HONS)
Commercial Surveyor
Craig is an important part of our Commercial Survey team. He supports the Commercial Surveying team in carrying out inspections, preparing valuation reports and seeking investment opportunities for a range of clients.
Craig’s thirst for knowledge serves our clients well, as he continuously strives to further his understanding of the property industry, thereby making well informed decisions.
Craig enjoys travelling and boasts a passport full of stamps. Most recently, he went to Thailand with some friends for his Fiancées 30th birthday!

VICKI HAWORTHBSC (HONS)
Executive Assistant
With over 10 years of experience in the services sector, Vicky continues to utilise her well-honed customer service skills at JMC.
She is the Executive Assistant to Toli, and her ability to stay calm under pressure makes her so good at what she does. More recently, Vicky branched out to support the full Building Surveying department. She’s very approachable and fun to be around, adding a great vibe to the office atmosphere!
In her spare time, if you don’t find Vicki in her garden up to her elbows in compost, then it’s likely she will be sunning herself on some far-flung shore.

JACK STEINER
Accounts Manager
Jack is responsible for both the company and property management accounts. His eagle eye and attention to detail ensures all the accounts are running smoothly.
Jack oversees the company accounts system, as well as data processing via the market-leading and award winning MRI Qube property management software.
His organisation skills are top-notch, and his calm yet focused character adds much value to the office.
As a Belgian, Jack really enjoys his chocolate and loves spending the day out with his family.

Natalie Showman
Finance Director for JMC Group
Natalie joined JMC in August 2020 and has vast experience in real estate management and accounting.
Her recent role was Finance Director at a large property management company and her appointment is a great addition to our Admin team. Natalie’s is responsible for overseeing company accounts, compliance as well as the smooth running of the office. She always has the right solution for any office or accounts issue, and when she isn’t causing them she is solving them!
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, travelling extensively (when permitted), fine cuisine and art.

Carla McGlashanBSC (HONS)
Office Manager
Carla joined JMC with over 10 years’ experience in business support and administration for the public and non-for-profit sector, she has a keen eye for detail and organisation, and has just completed a degree in Business Management.
Carla is responsible for front of house and overseeing the company’s compliance, fleet and all other administration needs to ensure the office runs as smoothly as possible, whilst providing support to directors to ensure they always meet their objectives. Always looking for ways to improve policies and procedures across JMC to create a more holistic office environment.
In her spare time Carla enjoys being out in nature as much as possible, either trail riding or hiking through the woods, and if not there she’ll be watching it – Sir David Attenborough is a firm favorite!! Outside of nature, Carla enjoys spending as much time as she can with her partner, family and friends.
